We intend to post photographs of churches in our area, the Gulf Coast communities, and list what they need. We have seen churches of all denominations effected by wind and water. Many need to simply bulldoze and rebuild, but others can be refurbished after taking out the carpet, sheet rock, and furniture. Many need those things we take for granted in our churches like appropriate hymnals, Bibles, pianos and organs, podiums and choir robes.
Our area, the Gulf Coast, consists of the small cities of Jackson County, namely Pascagoula, Gautier, Ocean Springs, and Vancleave, those of Harrison County, namely Biloxi, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian, and those of Hancock County, namely Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and the Diamondhead community.
This will be a gradual process for us. We can’t list every church at once, but we will try to get to as many as possible. So, if you don’t find a church in your denomination, find another church to help. We all have more in common that whether we say "debts" or "trespasses", whether we are black or white, and whether we are ecclesiastical in structure or stand-alone. We are all trying to do God’s work and, though we may disagree respectfully on fine or large points, we all meet at the cross.
Please note: we will provide addresses and phone numbers. If you are unable to contact the pastor or church, please contact us with your information and we will make sure that church has your contact information.
